Things to do

There is loads to do at Watchtree – with wide open spaces, miles of tracks and trails and stunning woodlands. Just stand here on a clear day and the views towards the lakeland fells are breathtaking (bring your camera!).

From quiet and peaceful walks and our relaxing elemental garden to the more energy demanding orienteering courses and cycle routes there is something for everyone. The great thing is we are open nearly every day.

The visitor centre offers a welcome respite and here you can enjoy a lovely coffee whilst observing the information panels – did you know that Watchtree nature reserve is so-called because of the two tall ‘watch trees’ once located on the site – used as lookouts during the rievers period?
