Watchtree Management
Watchtree Nature Reserve is a DEFRA (Department of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs) owned site managed by Watchtree Ltd, a Not for Profit Limited Company and with ‘Trust’ status. Watchtree Ltd manages the conservation management, visitor access and education and community aspects of the site through a ‘Land Management and Funding Agreement’ with a twenty five year lease on the land. The management of the burial cells associated with Foot and Mouth Disease is continuously managed by DEFRA’s business managers, .
