The John Muir Award is a fun, educational and inspirational activity focused on four key objectives:
DISCOVER
EXPLORE
CONSERVE
SHARE
The John Muir Award is the educational part of the John Muir Trust - a wild land conservation charity that seeks to protect, conserve, campaign and inspire. John Muir (1838-1914) was passionate about wild places and it is hoped that everyone who takes part in the award will also be inspired about wild places. Wild land is not just restricted to the remote hills but can include back gardens, nature reserves and beaches. Without sounding bias Watchtree is the perfect place to participate in the John Muir Award - over eight groups/schools have already completed the award at Watchtree so why not give it ago yourself.
