All About Watchtree

Watchtree Nature Reserve is located between the north Cumbrian villages of Wiggonby and Thurstonfield/Kirkbampton.

From Carlisle ¹:

Head south from the city centre and turn right onto the B5307 road to Kirkbride.

At Kirkbampton turn left and follow signs to Wiggonby for one mile.

We are on the left hand side.

From Carlisle ²:

Head south from Carlisle on the A595 for approximately 2.5 miles.

Look for Watchtree signs at Orton Grange Cafe/Farm. Follow Watchtree signs until reaching Watchtree Nature Reserve after approximately 5 miles.

From Wigton:

follow the A595 towards Carlisle for approximately two miles.

Turn left at signs for Knoxwood/Wiggonby and follow this road for approximately one mile.

At Wiggonby, turn left at the junction then immediately right.

Watchtree is half a mile on the right hand side (Look out for the Wind Turbines!)
